About the speaker
Ruth B. M. Pincinato is Professor at the University of Stavanger, Norway, specialising in aquaculture economics, seafood markets, and sustainable food systems. Her research focuses on productivity, efficiency, market integration, and the economic impacts of regulation and technological change in fisheries and aquaculture.
Looking ahead: Aquaculture Economics and Management Workshop
During the webinar, participants will also receive an introduction to a dedicated Aquaculture Economics and Management Workshop, taking place as part of Aquaculture Europe 2026 in Ljubljana from 28-30 September 2026.
This interactive workshop is tailored for PhD students and early-career researchers who want to strengthen the economic and practical relevance of their work in aquaculture and seafood systems.
Participants will benefit from:
- Direct engagement with leading experts and industry actors
- Discussions on real-world decision-making, regulation, and markets
- A combination of conference participation and structured activities
