Thanks to the commitment of our sponsors, the EAS Student Group provides travel grants to active National Coordinators (NCs), enabling them to represent their countries, build international networks, and actively contribute to the development of the group. In addition, travel grants are awarded to talented students who submit high quality scientific abstracts to EAS conferences, encouraging excellence, innovation, and early engagement with the professional aquaculture community.
At Aquaculture Europe events, we organise dedicated workshops that strengthen the student network, promote interaction with industry and academia, and offer practical insights and first career guidance for students entering the aquaculture sector. To further recognise outstanding student achievements, the EAS Student Group awards the Ibrahim Okumus Award for the best student e-poster presented at the Aquaculture Europe conference, highlighting excellence and innovation in student research.
