[ EAStalk ] “Boosting aquaculture with a circular fungal beta-glucan“ with Citribel

Events

This webinar provides an overview of the history and functionality of immune stimulating products derived from yeast as compared to that derived from a fungal biomass. More specifically, Citribel’s newly developed product high in beta-glucan, is derived from the cell wall of fungal mycelium, and has unique characteristics, production quality, and functionality.

Application studies were conducted in renowned research institutes, and resulted in an extensive evaluation of safety, growth performance, feed conversion efficiency, and resistance to major pathogens such as White Spot Syndrome Virus, Vibrio spp., Moritella viscosa, and Tenacibaculum maritimum.

Results from challenge tests with shrimp and salmon have demonstrated reductions in mortality for both viral and bacterial infections. Taken together, the webinar focuses on scientific knowledge of yeast versus fungal cell walls, processing thereof and application based research of both products in shrimp and salmon feed.
