Aquaculture Europe 2020 - online

With COVID affecting many events worldwide, the Aquaculture Europe 2020 event - initially planned in Cork, Ireland - was organised online.

The format followed our ‘normal’ Aquaculture Europe meetings, with morning plenary sessions and then breakout parallel sessions for pre-recorded video oral and ePoster presentations.  AE2020 also had an e-Market, where suppliers and media partners will had a dedicated place online to present their products, with a chat feature to interact with attendees and set up meetings.

EAS also organised RAS@EAS event as a one-day online workshop before the conference started. The workshop theme “Creating an Optimum Environment” was a panel-based discussion in three sessions: “How do we best approach disinfection”? “Where are we going with monitoring & autonomy”? And “What are the most problematic interactions between fish & their environment”?

AE2020 was attended by 855 particpants, with 224 taking part in RAS@EAS.
