The State of World Fisheries and Aquaculture 2026
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has published the latest edition of The State of World Fisheries and Aquaculture 2026 (SOFIA 2026), its flagship report on the status and future of global fisheries and aquaculture.
The report provides the latest global data, analyses and insights into the fisheries and aquaculture sector, examining key trends, emerging challenges, technological developments and opportunities for sustainable growth. It also includes an updated assessment of the condition of marine fishery resources worldwide.
