Lenka Kajgrová
is currently a PhD student at the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. Since starting her bachelor's, she has been involved in fishpond research, from studying food resources of cultured fish in ponds (zooplankton, zoobenthos – bachelor and masters) to pond aquaculture optimisation (current work).

Fernando Afonso is an associate professor at the University of Lisbon. His main research interests are fish pathology and aquaculture.

Mairin-Rua Ni Aodha is a 4th year veterinary medicine student at the Wroclaw University of Life and Environment. Mairin's main interest are Fish welfare, Aquaculture, Pain measurement and management in fish, Netting stress.

Gavin and Julian Adopt a student Podcast on "Adopt a student" mentorship program with Gavin Burnell and Julian Zwarg

Gavin Burnell is the current President of the European Aquaculture Society. After a lifetime of teaching and research in aquaculture and marine biology, Gavin is now retired but still actively involved in several EU and national projects. Nowadays his focus is on a holistic approach with a particular interest in the circular economy as a way of sustainable production. 

Julian Zwarg is a master student of Aquaculture at the University of Rostock, highly interested in the development and optimization of the food sector towards the goal of sustainability and climate neutrality.
