The AE2008 Best Poster was awarded to Yi-Min Chen, Institute of Biotechnology, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, and co-authors Shu-Fen Chen, Chung-Kuang Lu, Han-You Lin, Tzong-Yueh Chen, and Huey-Lang Yang.

Their poster is entitled “Isolation and characterization of Taiwanese thraustochytrid species: screening of strains for docosahexaenoic acid (dha) production".

The AE2008 Student Best Poster was awarded to Dariusz Kaczmarczyk, Department of Environmental Biotechnology, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland, and co-authors M. Luczynski , R. Kolman.

Their poster is entitled “Assemblage of spawning pairs of farmed american paddlefish based on their individual genetic profiles - A new tool in managing of the broodstock's gene pool".
