Research institutions are great breeding grounds for innovations, however, the development from research into products for commercialization requires additional skills and mindset to overcome the challenges in the route to market. Among these challenges are regulatory issues, building a team, scaling your business, and finding the right commercial partners. This webinar will focus on the challenges that new innovations face in the route to commercialization and offer some views on how to set up a strategy and execute on it.

Gonçalo Santos - Aquaculture Industry Expert at Hatch
Gonçalo has a biotechnology degree from the NOVA University of Lisbon in Portugal and a MSc. in Aquaculture from Wageningen University in the Netherlands. He has extensive background in the aquaculture sector, having worked for large corporations where he held global positions in R&D, innovation, product development and technical management. At Hatch, Goncalo works with Innovation Services clients building up their innovation pipeline and supports Hatch portfolio companies to bring their innovations to market.

India Boyer - Dealflow Manager at Hatch
India holds a BSc in Ecological Sciences from the University of Edinburgh. Prior to Hatch, India worked as an Investment Associate at Passion Capital Investments, an early-stage technology investor based in London, and had direct involvement in 22 deals. Her passion about the environment and sustainable aquaculture led her to Hatch in early 2019, where she now works as the Dealflow Manager. Her main role is to source, analyse and select early-stage aquaculture startups for the Hatch Accelerator Programme and for Hatch Innovation Services clients.
