Kat Steinberg EAStalkOur next webinar 'The ASC - certification and cooperation' by Kathrin Steinberg will be on December, 3rd at 14.00h (GMT +1/Brussels time).

Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) is an independent, international non-profit organisation that manages a certification and labelling programme for responsible aquaculture. It aims to transform the world’s aquaculture industry towards environmental sustainability and social responsibility by using efficient market mechanisms that create value across the seafood supply chain. To help achieve this goal, the ASC seeks cooperation not only with farmers and buyers, but also with scientists... This webinar provides an overview on the ASC programme and gives an insight into how different stakeholders can get involved.

Kathrin Steinberg joined the ASC in November 2018 as Performance Data Coordinator after finishing her PhD at Kiel University in Germany. Her work within the ASC is focusing on science-based metric setting within the different standards and covers all species and topics. She is therefore working with many stakeholders along the value chain. Since 2016, Kathrin has been actively involved with the European Aquaculture Society (EAS) and is currently the student representative on the EAS Board of Directors.
