The August edition of our EAStalk webinar series will take place on August 11th with Sigurður Bogason at 14 (CET/Brussels time). Sigurdur will give a brief presentation on 'VALUMICS H2020 PROJECT- Understanding food value chain and network dynamics - THE SALMON CASE STUDY'.
How can food consumption behaviours and solution-oriented interventions trigger an EU-wide shift towards a more sustainable future? Moreover, how are these behaviour interventions applied in real life contexts?
The VALUMICS webinar “Putting Solutions on the Table: Successful Approaches and Interventions to Support more Sustainable Food Consumption Behaviours in the EU”, 16 July 2020, 15:00 CET, will explore these questions with an outstanding line-up of food and behaviour change experts, who will share and discuss pilot interventions and strategies suitable for the food industry and policy makers.
Aquaculture development requires upscaling production systems and developing new solutions for producing more to supply a growing market with healthy products. EAS wants to promote and support start-ups and emerging business models in the aquaculture sector, by matching ideas to those that can push the development of new companies and new products.
On July 7 at 14 (CET Brussels time), Sander van den Burg will give an EAStalk webinar on "Sustainable seaweed production in Europe: economic and environmental insights from the GENIALG project".
Joanna Gosling & James Taylor will talk in our next EAStalk webinar on June 16, at 14:00 (CET/Brussels time) about "Maximising the potential of coordinated national research – ARCH-UK".
The EAS Board of Directors has decided that our Aquaculture Europe 2020 event cannot go ahead as planned in Cork from September 29 to October 2 this year.
There will therefore be no Aquaculture Europe event in 2020.
However, to maintain our commitment to our chosen locations, delegates, exhibitors and attendees, EAS will organise two events in 2021. AE2020 in Cork, Ireland from April 12-15 and AE2021 in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal 6 months later from October 5-8.
April 12-15, 2021
Abstract deadline: December 31
Early Bird registration deadline: February 15
October 4-7, 2021
Abstract deadline: May 1
Early Bird registration deadline: July 15
More information will soon be available concerning the programme for each event and sessions for online abstract submission. We will also be contacting those that have already submitted abstracts for Cork. New abstracts for both AE2020 Cork and AE2021 Madeira can be submitted online. But please make sure that you are submitting them to the correct event!
We therefore look forward to welcoming you next year in Cork in April and in Funchal in October!
